Zhao Rong, one of China's early master's degree holders in medical aesthetics, received further training in the 1990s at the birthplace of China's plastic and aesthetic surgery discipline——Beijing Huangsi Aesthetic Surgery Hospital of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. She studied under leading Chinese medical plastic and aesthetic surgery authorities Song Ruyao, Fang Zhanglin, Ding Zhilin, and others. She has served successively as Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Chengdu Sixth People's Hospital and has been invited many times to participate in international and domestic academic conferences on plastic and aesthetic surgery. She has published more than 20 papers in national core journals and provincial and municipal academic journals. She is an early practitioner and leader in introducing Traditional Chinese Medicine conditioning theories into laser aesthetic applications.
